In recent decades, human settlements science has enjoyed rapid development. It has evolved from urban planning, architectural design, garden landscape, civil engineering, urban environment and ecology, resource and energy utilization, new materials to future cities, smart communities, IoT, big data, artificial intelligence, big health, regional energy, urban remote sensing, geographic information, earth science, industrial Internet, urban sociology, and many other cross-discipline fields. China SUC Institute believes that the innovation of human settlements technology has become an important drive to promote the sustainable development of cities, and will lead not only the green recovery of cities in the post-pandemic era but also the key progress of implementing SDG11 in the next ten years.
