   (Reporter Wen Jinghua Zhu Han) 2020 International Scientific And Technological Innovation Conference on Green Development was held in Anji County, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province, on Nov. 6, with domestic and foreign experts, scholars and city managers talking about scientific and technological innovation and how the digital economy empowers the green development of the city, further promoting in-depth exchanges and cooperation in the industrial sector.

   Participants exchanged views on the topics of "Innovation and Leading Role of Digital Technology in Green Development", "Intelligent Environmental Protection and the building of Beautiful China", "Urban Intelligence and the Development of Healthy Cities" and so on. Representatives of China’s cities successfully demonstrated Chinese solutions and Chinese wisdom in the achievements of urban green development. Experts and scholars from the UK, South Korea, Ireland, Italy and other countries brought international perspectives and professional inspirations on green urban planning and development through video links.

   At the conference, Anji County leaders introduced the local use of scientific and technological means to help the green development of practical experience: innovation to carry out intelligent supervision of the red line of ecological protection, the construction of "a chain, a storage, a map and a code" natural resources digital management platform, to ensure that the ecological protection of the red line, the permanent basic farmland, the urban development boundary of the three lines of control can be delineated, guarded and used well.    "Green development of Urban needs to be based on electrification to achieve zero carbon in all sectors such as transportation and heating. In the future, we need to promote the industrialized application of high-tech green energy such as synthetic liquid fuels. China leads the way in building new digital infrastructures such as 5G, which can bring about smart grids and the Internet of Things, improve electrical energy efficiency, and further improve the energy mix. The future of urban life will be better and healthier." Jeffrey Sachs said.

   Song Jun, member of the party group and secretary of the China Association for Science and Technology, said that it is the common aspiration of people from all over the world to follow green development, and that China's green development concept, development method and development wisdom have provided inexhaustible impetus for the construction of a beautiful China, and a Chinese paradigm that can be learned from to create a new pattern of green development in the world.
