   In 2021, the list of piloting zones of new urban infrastructure construction in China will be expanded to 21 cities (districts). In order to accelerate the construction of new urban infrastructure based on digitization, networking, and intelligence, we will explore and accumulate replicable and promotable mechanisms and models

   The person in charge of the relevant departments or bureaus in the MOHURD introduced that in 2020, the MOHURD has carried out the first batch of pilot projects for the construction of new urban infrastructures in 16 pilot cities, such as Chongqing, Fuzhou, Jinan, etc., and in 2021, more cities selected as pilot sites, such as the Binhai New District in Tianjin, Yantai, Wenzhou, Changsha, Changde and others. Meanwhile, the ministry also organized a series of special pilot projects such as the construction of the basic platform of City Information Model, intelligent city management and governance, intelligent construction and so on.

   Priority tasks in the development of new urban infrastructure include:

   Firstly, comprehensively promoting the construction of the basic platform of CIM, and forming a three-dimensional spatial digital substrate of the city and create a basic platform for the smart city.

   Secondly, implementing intelligent construction and renovation of municipal infrastructure, upgrading and intelligently managing municipal infrastructure such as water supply, heating, and gas supply, to improve operational efficiency and safety performance.

   Thirdly, synergistically developing smart cities and intelligent connected vehicles, building a smart travel platform with the “Network of Car and City".

   Fourthly, accelerating the construction of smart communities, digitizing community facilities and realizing intelligent community management.

   Fifthly, Promoting the synergistic development of intelligent construction and building industrialization, creating a construction industry Internet, and developing new industries of intelligent construction.

   Sixthly, promoting the building of the urban operation and management service platform, improving the level of scientific, detailed and intelligent urban management, and also promoting urban management into "one network unified management".

   The person in charge said that since the pilot work of new urban infrastructure construction has been carried out, focusing on urban safety, community building, municipal services and other areas of people's livelihoods, landed a number of new urban construction projects, the formation of good experience and practice. At the same time, it has driven the development of upstream and downstream industrial chain, expanded the consumption of residents in the community, and the benefits in economic and social aspects have gradually appeared.
