   On December 15, the National Development and Reform Commission held a special press conference to introduce the six blue papers of construction of the "Belt and Road" people-to-people communication, the Green Silk Road, Chinese medicine international cooperation, China ASEAN development, China-Africa development, the development of China and Latin America, and on the promotion of the Green Silk Road construction highlights, play the role of the "Belt and Road" Green Development International Alliance platform and other issues to answer reporters' questions. Among them, the “Report on Development of the Green Silk Road (2023)” (hereinafter referred to as "the Report") was jointly released by the Office of the Leading Group for Promoting the Belt and Road Initiative and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment. Representatives of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment attended the conference and answered reporters' questions.

   The report is the first official report to systematically elaborate on the main progress and achievements of promoting the building of a Green Silk Road over the past 10 years, and has been incorporated into the list of practical cooperation projects of the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation. The report was divided into 3 sections, which are development achievements, inspirations from development and development outlook. The section of development achievements comprehensively summarizes the positive progress made in the construction of the Green Silk Road over the past 10 years, and fully shows China's key initiatives and typical cases in supporting the green development of the co-built countries. The section of inspirations from development summarizes the successful experience of building the Green Silk Road, fully reflecting the principles and concepts of the Green Silk Road and its contribution to global green and low-carbon development. The section of development outlook puts forward the key directions for China and the co-construction countries to work together to promote the construction of the Green Silk Road, which provides useful reference for the service and support of high-quality co-construction of the "Belt and Road" in the new era.
